Hailing from Sydney, emerging designer Thomas Hulston graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design in 2011 and makes his design debut with a beautiful spring summer 2013/14 womenswear collection from his self-titled label.

A rarity in the present fashion industry, every piece by Thomas Hulston is made in France, a country in which he spent most of his teenage years visiting family, with his manufacturing centering from a textiles community within the city of Marseille. With an aesthetic based on quality stitching and beautiful fabrics like silk and leather, Thomas has created an introductory collection that showcases his passion for fine design.

A love for his home city of Sydney has not escaped this next-generation designer, with the magnificent landscapes and natural palettes of the metropolitan surroundings the inspiration for his spring summer 2013/14 collection. The centerpiece of his collection is a sandstone print from a photo he took on the Bondi to Bronte walk in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, complemented by shades of earthy dark brown, cream, white and soft blue.

Thomas launched his label with a showing of his 21 piece spring summer 2013/14 collection in a runway event held at Whitehouse Institute of Design on the 22nd of April 2013. His flagship store located at 23 William Street, Paddington, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs opened in September 2013.
